I was having problems with FileZilla and was looking for another free FTP client to use and I finally came across the Fire FTP extension for Firefox. It works perfectly, it’s simple, it’s free and it installs in a few seconds.

It’s also cross-platform, as long as you have Firefox installed. Perfect!

My hearing apparently tops out at around 18kHz, although I don’t completely trust my computer/headphone combination to reproduce sounds up to 20kHz.

Here’s a great article on Supermemo, which pioneered the use of spaced repetition in computer flashcard programs such as Anki. It’s very interesting if you’re learning a new language or have to keep large amounts of facts in your long-term memory.
